Colour me clueless, but I recently discovered that it is now possible to set up Google+ pages! How long has that been an option?! So much for my being on top of things in the social media world, huh?! Well, that oversight has now been rectified, and I’m pleased to say that Alphabet Salad is the proud owner of a brand spanking new fledgling G+ page.
The page is pretty barren at the moment, both of followers and content, but in future it will be filled with notifications of new Alphabet Salad blog posts, possibly other random things that strike my fancy, and (I hope) plenty of followers!
Here’s my new Alphabet Salad G+ page, if you’d like to follow. (I’m on G+ as well, if you’d rather follow me personally – or hey, feel free to follow both!)
While I am so very appreciative when people choose to keep up with me and my writing, I can’t say I enjoy overly much the focus on self it takes to bring them here (posts like this one, for example!). Self-promotion is a sort of necessary evil, really, if you want to build a readership in the wide world of blogging.
So, since I’ve already started down that uncomfortable road by featuring my new G+ page in this post, I might as well go a few steps further and point out that there are also several other Alphabet Salad/Laurel Regan following options available to interested parties – Feedburner (both a blog feed and once-daily e-mail updates, depending on your preference), NetworkedBlogs, and Facebook – all of which are featured in the sidebar over there to your right, should you be so inclined (and I’d be absolutely thrilled if you were!).
And, with a sigh of relief from all parties, thus ends this round of shameless self-promotion.
As you were. 🙂
