this precious, beautiful life
far too fleeting to waste
a moment
fretting over opinions
tongue-biting in case of offense
striving to reach an unmeetable ideal
it’s long past time for a sea change
illuminate murky mind-corners
cluttered with emotional detritus:
paralyzing fear
crippling guilt
binding shame
sweep it up, decisively
toss it all, permanently
throw open the windows, joyfully
to light
to love
to rebirth
spring is here
