I have a thing for notebooks, blank books, journals, and so on. There’s something so wonderful and tantalizing about all those pristine pages waiting to be filled! I think there’s a part of me that will always love them, but now that I’m moving more and more toward using my iPad for just about everything, I was excited to discover the most delightful handwriting app called Penultimate. Penultimate gets you pretty much as close to pen on paper as an electronic app can go, with features that pen and paper simply don’t have (for example, selecting a portion of your writing and moving it to another part of the notebook). Plus it enables you to carry a whole library of notebooks in one compact gadget without the added bulk that toting several of their paper counterparts would involve. Bonus! If you have an iPad, and haven’t already found Penultimate, I encourage you to check it out. You will love it!
For today’s 30 Days of Creativity project, though, I’ll stick with the paper versions. In wax. With a pencil thrown in for good measure.
June 28, 2012 prompt:
NOTEBOOK – Our minds are only as empty as the last page.
(If you want to see this in all its imperfect waxy goodness, clicking on the photo will take you to the larger version on Flickr.)
In case you missed it, this is what I’m doing throughout the month of June, and why. I’ll be posting all of my projects to my 30 Days of Creativity 2012 board on Pinterest.
Heading into a long (four-day) weekend now.
Happy Canada Day!
